Creator agreement
Version 2026-10-14
1. What this is
This agreement is between Kaso, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Kaso") and you, the person who opens a creator account. By creating an account, joining a campaign or submitting a video you accept it.
Kaso is a marketplace where brands fund campaigns and creators make short videos about the brand's product with AI tools, post them on their own social accounts and are paid for the views those videos get. You are an independent creator, not Kaso's employee, agent or partner, and nothing here creates an employment relationship. You choose which campaigns to join, what to make and when to work, with your own tools.
2. Who can join
You must be at least 18 years old, live in the United States, and be able to receive payouts to a US bank account in your own name through Stripe. Kaso may close an account that does not meet these conditions and pay out what it owes. One person, one account.
You may not earn on campaigns run by a brand or agency you own, work for or are otherwise affiliated with.
3. Your social accounts
You prove that a social account is yours by placing a one-time code Kaso gives you in the account's bio or channel description, checking it in Kaso, then removing the code. Kaso never asks for a password, a login or a session, and never posts on your behalf. You may add up to 10 accounts on each platform; each must be yours and run by you.
Kaso reads only the public pages of your accounts and posts: the profile Kaso verifies, and the public page of each video you submit, once a day while its campaign runs and once more after the campaign ends. The author of a submitted video must be the verified account on every read.
4. The videos
You make each video yourself with AI tools whose plans allow commercial and advertising use, and you are responsible for those tools' terms. Every video you submit must be your own original work for that campaign, never a repost, a re-upload or someone else's content. You may not use a real person's face, voice, name or likeness, including a celebrity's, without their written permission, and you may not include music or other material you do not have the rights to use in advertising.
A video must follow the campaign's rules as shown on its page when you joined, show the product as it is, and make no feature, price, result or claim the brand did not give you. It must be brand-safe: no profanity, violence, adult content, hate, harassment or dangerous acts. It must comply with each platform's rules, including the rules on labeling AI-generated content, and you must apply the platform's AI label where the platform requires one.
A video you post for a campaign is a paid promotion. You will disclose it clearly on every platform, using the platform's paid-partnership or branded-content tool where one exists and #ad or an equivalent plain disclosure in the caption, as the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules require. You will say only what you honestly believe, and you will not state a personal experience with a product you have not used.
5. Submitting and review
You post the video on your own verified account and submit its link in Kaso. Kaso checks the post against the campaign's rules it can check and reads its views. The brand then approves the video, or rejects it with a reason you see. A video the brand does not review within 14 days is approved automatically. If you think a rejection is wrong you may dispute it once, and Kaso decides; Kaso's decision is final. Kaso may also reject a video that breaks this agreement, and you may dispute that too.
A brand may report an approved video and Kaso may then reject it. Kaso may stop a video from earning, remove it from a campaign or close your account for a breach of this agreement, for fraud, or where the law requires it, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
6. Earnings
An approved video earns at the campaign's rate per 1,000 views, from its first 1,000 views (or the higher minimum the campaign sets), until the campaign ends or the video's cap is reached, rounded down to the cent. The platform's public view count is the count Kaso pays on. A video that is deleted, made private or otherwise unreadable stops earning from that moment; nothing already earned is taken back.
Kaso checks every reading for views that do not look real. A video with suspicious views is held while Kaso reviews it, and views Kaso judges fake are not paid. Buying views, using bots, engagement pods or any other manipulation ends your account and forfeits the earnings in question.
Earnings are paid on the 1st of each month to your bank account through Stripe, once your balance reaches $100. A smaller balance rolls over. Earnings that wait more than 30 days because you have not completed Stripe onboarding are released back to the campaigns they came from, after a warning email. Once Kaso has paid you, that payment is yours and is never clawed back.
7. Payouts and taxes
Payouts go through Stripe. To be paid you complete Stripe's onboarding, which asks for your legal name, date of birth, address, bank account and taxpayer identification number. Stripe holds those details; Kaso sees whether your account can be paid, never your Social Security number or bank details. Stripe's terms for connected accounts apply to your Stripe account.
You are responsible for your own taxes. Kaso files a Form 1099-NEC with the IRS for every US creator it pays $2,000 or more in a calendar year (the threshold the law sets, indexed in later years), using the details you gave Stripe, and delivers your copy electronically unless you ask for paper. If the IRS tells Kaso that your name and taxpayer number do not match, Kaso holds your payouts until you correct them in your Stripe dashboard; your earnings keep accruing and are paid in full once they match.
8. Licenses and ownership
You keep ownership of your videos. When a brand approves a video, you grant that brand a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, edit, adapt and show the video, in whole or in part, in its advertising and on its own social accounts and websites, in any medium, including as a paid ad on any platform. The license survives the end of the campaign, the deletion of your post and the closing of your account. A rejected video is not licensed.
You grant Kaso a license to show your videos, your handle and your profile picture on Kaso's pages and in Kaso's own marketing, using the platforms' official embeds, and to read your public pages as described in section 3. You confirm that you have every right needed to grant these licenses, and that nothing in a video infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
You understand that videos made with AI tools may not be protected by copyright in some countries, that platforms may label them, and that you alone are responsible for the AI tools you choose.
9. Your account
Keep your email and password private and your details current. You can delete your account from Settings; Kaso pays what it owes you, your videos stop earning, licenses already granted stay granted, and Kaso keeps the records the law requires. Questions go to contact@joinkaso.com.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Kaso is provided as it is. Kaso does not promise that any campaign will be open, that a brand will approve a video, that a platform will count views, or that you will earn any amount. To the fullest extent the law allows, Kaso disclaims every warranty not stated here, is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages or for lost earnings or data, and limits its total liability to the amount Kaso paid you in the twelve months before the claim. You will indemnify Kaso against claims arising from your videos, your accounts or your breach of this agreement or of the law.
11. Disputes, governing law and the rest
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any dispute you and Kaso cannot settle by talking will be resolved by binding arbitration before a single arbitrator, on an individual basis and not as a class, in Delaware or by video, administered by the American Arbitration Association under the rules it applies to the dispute. Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and Kaso both give up the right to a jury trial.
Kaso may change this agreement and will email you about a material change at least 14 days before it takes effect; the change applies to campaigns you join after that date. If a part of this agreement is unenforceable the rest stands. You may not assign it; Kaso may assign it to a successor. This agreement and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Kaso about Kaso.
